About

Tamarind Rossetti works with daily painting and writing to explore place, home, process and presence. Through this time-based reflective practice, anchored in objects of her current circumstance, connections link like rivers in a landscape of regular life.  Her work also takes the forms of farming (future agriculture), cooking farm-to-table meals (with vegetables from the farm), public projects, and partnerships.

Currently Co-Artistic Director of the Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, and a professor of art at the École supérieure d'art et de design TALM-Angers, she has an undergraduate degree in Art Practice and English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, summa cum laude. She received an MFA in Public Practice, from Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles. Her work has been shown at FRAC Poitou-Charentes, site d’Angoulême, France; Centre des Livres d'Artistes, Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche, France; ForYourArt, Los Angeles, CA; the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts, Ojai, CA; MorYork Gallery, Highland Park, CA; PT Gallery, Japan and others. Her work is in the public collection FRAC Poitou-Charentes, France. She lives and works in France and Germany.
