417 watercolors 4.25” x 6”, text on reverse. 2014-2015
In 2014-15, the artist experienced the loss of her home. Eight people in her circle of friends and family hosted her during a 417 day period. Every day, she produced a watercolor depicting an object found in the house in which she was staying. The 417 watercolors are the results, perceived through different practices: the constitution of a story below the surface, based on poetics and delicate representations of daily items, and the application of an artistic protocol based on an act unshakably repetitive.
